Privacy policy
Couchpad does not collect, share or sell any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code that tracks you.
How it works
Couchpad has two parts: an iPhone app and a free Mac app. They talk to each other directly over your own Wi-Fi network. Nothing you do in Couchpad, such as pointer movements, key presses or media controls, leaves your network or passes through any server of ours.
What stays on your devices
- On your iPhone: the PIN you entered, the name of the Mac you last connected to, and your settings (dark mode and pointer speed).
- On your Mac: the pairing PIN and its settings.
This information is kept only on those devices and is removed when you delete the apps.
Permissions
- Local Network (iPhone): lets the app find and connect to your Mac on your Wi-Fi network.
- Accessibility (Mac): lets the Mac app move the pointer and press keys when you ask it to from your phone.
The Mac app does not read the contents of your screen, your keystrokes or your files.
